Matt and Julie are trying to figure out their plans of when they will see each other once she moves away. I was wondering why Mrs. Taylor was so against this whole move. She’s pregnant! She went to the clinic and Smash’s mom gave her a test. She is in such shock because she already has a daughter who is in her teens. This was an unplanned pregnancy, and this may be the reason that the family doesn’t leave Dillon.

In an interview, Coach is asked if he took the job at TMU to which he replies yes. The entire team is upset and hurt. They should realize that even a coach has ambitions and dreams that need to be fulfilled.

Mrs. Taylor finally told her husband that she’s pregnant. His reaction was super cute! He was a bit taken back first but then he held her face and gave her the sweetest kiss. I was afraid that he was going to be upset or even mad. Mrs. Taylor is a great mother and her husband is a good man. They are the ideal image of a perfect family. I am eager to know how Julie is going tor eact tot he situation. She might be a little weirded out because of the age gap that she will share with her sibling. However, she is going to be an amazing big sister no matter what. Any child would be lucky to grow up in a household with that much love and support.

Voodoo offers Smash a position on his team. He says that they will be unstoppable. Voodoo tells Smash that it is just a uniform and that even his coach doesn’t care about it.

The Panthers are down by 26 points halftime. They haven’t even scored yet. The Panthers are back! They are not leaving anything. They are trying their best and it seems to be working well for them.

And the Panthers win! Wow!!!! What an amazing game they played. Those boys put their heart and soul on the line and it paid off. When you really believe and try, anyone can overcome whatever obstacle they face.

Wait, seriously? The episode, and the season has just ended. What is Coach Taylor’s final decision? Is he going to stay in Dillon or go to TMU? How is this baby affecting him? Coach Taylor walks into Jason giving a talk. He is a very good speaker and I have a feeling that if Coach Taylor decides to leave, he is going to make Jason head coach. He would deserve it, but he is still very young and has little experience.

I am very upset that I had to give the last episode this rating. Many of my questions were left unanswered and therefore I had no choice but to give it this rating. Overall, this is an amazing show and I will definitely be watching season two. The entire town of Dillon and the Panthers each have their own story. They overcome struggles and face obstacles that inevitably will make them grow as a person.

Coach Taylor just took the coaching position at TMU. His wife and daughter are not having the greatest feelings about it but he went ahead and sealed the deal.

Tyra hasn’t attended school in the past two days because of the whole attempted rape ordeal. She is feeling very distraught. Landry goes by her house to see if she is okay and she says that he can’t tell anyone. He tells Matt. Matt lets Landry know that he needs to tell someone else. That another person needs to know. It is a very serious situation and I think Landry feels that he is at fault here because he was late for the date. Tyra has so many bruises on her body as the police take pictures of them.

I do not think that Mrs. Taylor’d idea of her and Julie staying behind in Dillon until Julie is finished with high school is a good idea. Coach is right when he says that the family would be separated and that isn’t how families are supposed to be. They need to be together.

Tim and his next door fling are over. She ended it. She made the right decision. Her son, Bo, can get really hurt by this whole ordeal and he is too young to go through anything of that intensity yet.

This was inevitable. Buddy Garrity and his wife are getting a divorce. He is going to see his children, including Lyla, every other weekend.

Jason went on a date with the blonde tattoo girl. They told each told the other that they like them. Lyla caught them kissing in the car and threw her ring at Jason. Jason needs to mature and realize that Lyla is an amazing girl. He is so lucky to have her. He is going to realize this when it is too late and she has moved on and doesn’t want him anymore.

Mrs. Taylor told her husband that she isn’t going to move to Austin with him. He made a selfish decision when he took that job. He needs to know that his family comes first before football.

It was an average episode. Nothing great happened but the finale should be nothing short of amazing.

Whoa. Tim wakes up in his neighbor’s bed. Hmm….Wonder how he got there? At least he’s welcoming the new people into town, right?

Matt finds an envelope of money in his locker and gives it to Coach who tells him that he will take care of it. Nearby, a train derailed which later caused an explosion. It seems as though there is chaos everywhere. The football team is no longer allowed to use their field, so they construct one in the middle of a cattle field. At first, the opposing team’s coach did not want them to play there, but he then agrees afterwards.

Waverly and Lyla end up hanging out and taking about boys almost the entire time. To relieve some stress, they shoot guns together. Smash warns Lyla about her condition and that she should be careful. Waverly is mad that Smash told Lyla that, but he insists that he will find her help and assures her that everything will be alright.

Tyra is trying to do good in school so that she can get into some sort of college. Landry sees this as an oppurtunity to get to know her better. She asks him out on a date, but he shows up late due to car trouble. During that time, a man punches Tyra in her face and pushes her into his van. He attempts to rape her. She frees away and Landry finds her very upset when he finally shows up to the hotel.

Jason and Coach Taylor’s legal teams settle on their issue for a certain amount of money that both parties are satisfied with. Coach then asks Jason if he ever thought about coaching before. He would make an amazing one, especially since he’s been helping Matt out a lot lately.

And the Dillon Panthers are going to the State Championship!

While this was a good episode, I do not think that it was as packed as the other ones. The whole situation with Tyra is shocking. I am extremely happy that she was able to get away though.

Julie is upset when she learns that her dad was offered a job at Texas Methodist University. She does not want to move again, especially not to Austin.

Jason is extremely disappointed when he isn’t chosen to travel to Beijing. Jason ends up getting a ride back to Dillon with the blonde tattoo artist that inked his arm with the word peace in Sanskrit. They talk about Jason’s life and problems. They kissed! Wow. This is a shocker. Lyla is going through a lot right now with her parents, she does not need this on her head as well. She basically did the same thing and even more than that to Jason while he was in the hospital.

When Lyla goes over to Jason’s house, she suspects something is going on. He is acting different and she keeps on questioning their future and where they stand as a couple in the future. Jason is not sure and just wants to see where time takes them. I say that is a cowardly answer. He has to know what he wants. A guy is too afraid to confront his true feelings because of fear of how a girl might react. Guys generally have a more difficult time dealing with changes than women. They like routine and ritual and anything that is different usually just throws them off.

Lyla is so upset about this whole situation with her parents that she takes a car from her dad’s dealership and hit others cars and ultimately crashes into the building. Her doing that also has some connection to what her and Jason are going through.

Uh-oh. Tim and his new neighbor are getting closer. After Tim, his neighbor, and their son watch a movie at his house, they all fall asleep on his couch. Tim tries to kiss the mom but she ends up backing away. Later on, she is at the door waiting for him. They end up kissing. I did not see that one coming. A very odd relationship I must say.

Waverly also has bipolar disorder. This can explain her recent mood swings and certain actions.

This episode had a lot of plot and storyline to it. It was a lot to follow, but it was definitely worth it.

The Dillon Panthers are going to the stat semi-finals! As excited as I should be for that, I want to know what has been happening with this drama-filled town.

Lyla is trying to ease her brother and sister. Their parents are fighting and breaking dishes over Buddy’s affair. The children are scared but Lyla seems to be a very good big sister. She is calming them and giving them the security they need. Buddy still got kicked out of the house. He shows up to Coach’s house and asks if he can sleep on their couch for a few nights. That is really weird. He needs to handle his problems rather than going and sleeping over his daughter’s guidance counselor’s house. I’m just saying.

Meanwhile, Smash’s girl sneaks into his house and takes him for a moonlight swim. He is in shock since she is usually so conservative. They are bound to get busted.

Lyla drives 200 miles to see Jason. How sweet!!! She sees him and starts crying. For Lyla, every time she sees Jason, it triggers all these emotions for her. She feels like she can tell him anything and can confide in him. Maybe she should take a step back. He is doing his own thing with rugby now, so who is she to intrude in on his life? He may want her there, or he may not. She can be telling him all her problems and stories when he may actually not even care. Jason is going somewhere with his life now, so it is unfair for Lyla to step in and bombard him with all her problems. Where does that leave Lyla though? I say it leaves her alone.

Coach and his wife go to a dinner meeting. They are discussing Coach Taylor’s future as a college coach. Meanwhile, Julie is at Tyra’s house. They are drinking and partying when Tyra’s mom sits on the glass coffee table and shatters it. She was talking about it before how she took a lot of pills so I am suspecting an overdose. I think that Tyra’s entire family is a hot mess and needs massive amounts of help if they want to survive.

There has been some sort of void in Jason and Lyla’s relationship because they haven’t had that same physical connection. While Lyla was visiting Jason, they were able to have sex. Now, they have this strong bond that may bring them even more closer together than before.

What an episode! There was a lot to digest, but it was all very much worth it. Coach Taylor got a job offer from TMU, Julie is becoming out of control, Tyra is confronting herself, Tim is becoming sweet to his neighbors and her son, Smash’s girl, Waverly, stopped taking her pills for her mood disorder and suffered a breakdown at the end of the episode while Lyla and Jason are finally getting back on track with their relationship. That is a lot to handle. This show is amazing and has a way of capturing its audience and keeping them at their edge of their seats.

We start off with Walt, Tim’s dad. Him and Tim go to a bar together and pretend that Walt can’t play pool if his life depended on it. Instead, they use this as a scheme. This is his way of making money, even though it was only a little bit. After that, Coach Taylor is notified that a $1000 camera is missing from the AV room. Walt was seen coming out of the room so Coach confronts him about it. Tim defends his dad, only to find the camera in a shed later on. He kicks him out of the house. How could his father do that to him? After all that they have been through, you would think Walk would want to maintain a good relationship with his sons. I guess not. Tim returns the camera to Coach the next day.

Noooooo! Julie tells Matt that she thinks they should have sex. Matt is in shock and agrees. Him and Landry go to buy condoms the next day. Sounds like a smart idea, right? Not when Julie’s mother/ their guidance counselor/ Matt’s coach’s wife is there to witness this. Now, Matt has borrowed a friend’s cabin so him and Julie can have sex. Julie is not feeling comfortable with the whole situation and they decide not to and opt out. They instead snuggle together and fall asleep. Coach Taylor finds his daughter’s panties in the bathroom and shows them to his wife. She tells Coach about the whole condom situation and they decide to call the house of the friend Julie was going to. She isn’t there obviously. They worry about where she is and more importantly, what she is doing. They must have one million thought running through their heads. Matt drives her home after 1 a.m. and Julie’s parents are so worried. She informs them that nothing happened and then goes to bed. While I think it is a good idea that Julie is growing up and maturing, I believe she is doing it a pace that is too quick for her parents to handle. She needs to slow down and take it easy.

Gross! Buddy Garrity (Lyla’s dad) and Tyra’s mom have been having an affair. When Buddy tells Coach about this, he tells him to mature and grow up. Coach later finds out that it is Tyra’s mom after she hits him after Sunday church in front of his wife. School on Monday is going to be extremely awkward for Tyra and Lyla. Buddy had given Tyra’s mom $600 so she wouldn’t say anything and leave. Guess that didn’t work out so well.

I loved this episode! I am so happy that Julie and Matt are maintaining their innocence. They need to keep it that way. Coach Taylor and his wife do not need to worry about their daughter who used to be so sweet. Now, she is becoming sort of wild and untamed. Next episode is bound to be great!

Since all of the black players walked out on the team, Coach Taylor is now dipping into JV so he can fulfill the open positions. Coach Taylor calls out the assistant coach (McGill) and tells him that his apology was not believable and now there are 16 positions open on the football team. One’s words can greatly influence an entire community, therefore they must be chosen carefully. McGill just came to Coach’s house and gave him his resignation letter. He thinks it would be best for the team considering the fact that they have an amazing chance of making it to state’s. Coach just made an announcement that McGill is staying. I agree with his choice. He definitely made a harsh statement but at the same time it was a mistake. He is the one who integrated the team and football is his life. He does not want to throw that all away.

Jason is now going to Austin, Texas for a two-week invite only rugby training camp. He wants to go there because he feels that everyone at school is treating him different. He says that when he comes back, and if he is far behind, he will take his G.E.D. instead. Sad. I had high hopes for Jason, I hope he doesn’t disappoint.

Smash’s mom told him how she loves him too much to see him try and make a point while losing out on an opportunity like football. He needs to lead by example, good ones at that. She is an extremely smart, rational woman.

NO WAY! Tyra and Julie went to the strip club where her sister works at because she needed to pick up something. Matt and Landry followed behind because they wanted to give Julie a pendant that Matt bought her. Landry was “watching the show” when he was busted by a cop. Coach Taylor is going to FLIP! Julie’s parents are extremely upset and angered. She is becoming a problematic child since she is hanging around with Tyra.

Smash and the other black players just came back! The team they are playing against keep playing dirty and one player finally gets in Smash’s face and yells at him. Tim then tackles that guy and it turns out to be a huge brawl on the field. The game is stopped due to that and the Dillon Panthers win. Coach Taylor is not satisfied with that. As they are heading home, they are stopped by the police. The police is from the other town they won over. The police say they need to take in Smash for questioning and that they will go inside the bus and drag him out if they have to. McGill tells them that they don’t have a warrant, so they can’t. The officer tells Coach Taylor that they will get him next year. This is how intense football is in Texas. The POLICE are getting involved. Like seriously guys? I am amazed by this.

Matt just gave Julie the pendant and she loved it. On top of that, he just asked her to be his girlfriend! How cute!!!! I really think Matt is what Julie needs. He keeps her out of trouble and focused on the things that really matter.

Wow. Amazing episode. So much drama and intensity. This show has proved itself to be a great one with a lot of potential. The storylines are real and current. This show just keeps getting better and better.

The Dillon Panthers made it to playoffs! So far, it has been an exciting and emotional season for the team. Most of them seem to be handling it to the best of their abilities. An assistant coach made a comment about how the racial divide on the team. He said that blacks are “junkyard dogs” and the whites are educated and civilized. This comment is causing an uproar. The one time an assistant coach is actually interviewed, he messes it up for everybody.

In high school, there was an Arab kid on the football team. The main coach would yell racial slurs to him all the time and I feel like that was unfair. First off, a coach should teach the team and players about respect for one another. Also, a coach should treat everyone equally. I noticed that this one kid who was an amazing player, got discouraged by the coach. No one ever called out the coach for whatever reasons, but he still should have known that derogatory terms should be prohibited.

Since Tyra and Julie cut class together, they now have to participate in the powderpuff game. Matt is her coach. That must be unbearably awkward! At least their team won!

When the assistant coach made his comments, the entire town was affected. Students started getting into fights in the hallways about it. Smash and all the other black players walked off the field during practice as a way of showing how they felt. The assistant coach did not even make a true and sincere apology for what he said. The town of Dillon is extremely divided and this issue must be addressed by all otherwise it will negatively affect how the Panthers play their game.

Although the episode dealt with the very touchy subject of race, it did not address it well enough. It beat around the bush a lot, and was also very repetitive.

This can’t be good at all. Tyra drove Julie home the night before because Matt got “abducted” by the other football players. Now, Tyra and Julie are bonding together. Coach Taylor and his wife will not be pleased about this. Although I think Tyra is changing her ways, Julie is too innocent to be hanging around with her. Never mind that. Tyra was putting lip gloss on Julie and told her to buy it but Julie said she didn’t have the money. So, Saint Tyra over here put it in her handbag. This is not the stuff we should be teaching Julie!

Tim set out on a mini-roadtrip in order to get his father’s signature to prevent him from losing his license. His brother seems to be taking this real hard. Now, Lyla just broke the news to Jason that she thinks they are too young to get married. I completely agree. They are still in high school and they should be thinking about college, not about getting married and starting a family.

Julie invited Tyra over to Matt’s house while she is watching his grandmother. Matt is doing an interview with Coach Taylor.

Tim was really hoping that his dad would come back to Dillon with him and watch his football game on Friday night. That would have made Tim so happy, especially since he has been down lately. While his brother Billy has been trying his best to provide, it is a tough job.

So, the rally girls just kidnapped all of the football players and took them to a hot tub party. Julie is not going to be pleased. They are posting the pictures online, which means they will be getting around. Some of the girls are slipping pills into his drink. Julie may have just broken up with Matt. I don’t blame her. He lied about where he was. He should have been straight forward with it all. He has been letting her down a lot lately and it’s not fair.

Tim’s dad came to his game!

Overall, it was an okay episode. I am eager to see where Tyra and Julie will end up together. I also want to know about Matt and Julie. They are an amazing couple that needs to last no matter what.

Smash’s mom, Mrs. Williams was cleaning out his room when she found his steroids. Yikes! She marched to the school and first yelled at Mr. Taylor for telling Smash to use the drugs. Then he said he had no idea that he was doing this. Smash is going to be in some DEEP trouble now. Forget about almost certainly getting off the football team, his mom is going to straighten him out for sure. Mrs. Williams just kicked Smash out of the house until he can learn how to respect her. He is getting incredibly mad at her when its is his fault that he started taking the steroids. For now, Smash is out of the next game.

It’s not fair how Matt’s father is being shipped out to Iraq again. Matt loves the presence of his dad and it is really important that he have a father figure around him. Matt is an intelligent boy who needs to be surrounded by the people he loves. He is an amazing 16-year-old with a great head on his shoulders.

Jason went to Lyla’s house because her father is trying to set her up on a date with some college kid. I agree with Jason since he is taking offense to this. Lyla’s dad is worried about his daughter’s future. I am guessing that in spite, Jason will ask Lyla to marry him. I hope he doesn’t. They are incredibly young with a great future ahead of them. They shouldn’t rush things.

I am really upset Matt’s dad left for Iraq. Matt’s grandma, Matt, and Julie were all there to watch him go. It was a really touching moment. Matt is back to where he was and now has to figure out how to get by as he was before his father came home.

Jason is contemplating leaving Lyla. He is really scared about their future and that maybe he won’t be able to provide for them. His obnoxious friend tell his not to let Lyla’s father get to his head. This is the first smart thing that this guy has said since the show started.

This is huge! Coach Taylor is going to let Smash stay on the team but he has to submit to voluntary private drug tests. I agree with Coach’s decision. As long as Smash can prove himself, he should be allowed to stay on the team. He has a lot at stake and can’t bend under pressure. Coach may be going against his morals here, but I think he made the right choice.

Wowwwww. Jason asked Lyla to marry him! She didn’t say yes but they did kiss so I am assuming that means of course. This is not going to go well with the town of Dillon and Lyla’s father. I was right about my prediction though.

I absolutely loved this episode. It was extremely entertaining and I cried twice! This is a well-written show and has an amazing cast. I look forward to the rest of the season.
